Congratulations to ICDN member Rie Hedegaard, who, on 14th June 2022, became a board member of the Danish Film Academy.
Having worked in casting since 1984, Rie has vowed to work towards better recognition of the casting profession within the Danish film industry.
The Danish Film Academy is the preeminent film and TV society in Denmark with the common goal of promoting and maintaining the highest standards within their field. It counts more than 2.300 accomplished members. In addition to their own awards–the Danish Film Awards (Roberts), which currently do not include an award for best casting–the Academy also hosts year-round activities including events, workshops and masterclasses for its members and regular audiences.
ICDN congratulates Rie on this career achievement, and looks forward to opportunities for future collaboration with the Film Akademiet.
